Obtaining a classification certificate

How should I proceed?

1

Standard application

To obtain a classification certificate in their own name, individuals must complete the standard application in Annex 31 to these methodological rules;

2

Standard form

Complete the standard form for classifying accommodation spaces by category and type, as specified in Annex 4 to the current methodological rules, as applicable.

3

Copy of identity document

Provide a copy of the applicant's identity document. The applicant must own the tourist accommodation.

4

Residents' association and neighbouring owners' consent

Provide consent from the residents'/owners' association and owners sharing horizontal or vertical walls with the individual operator. The document must specify the activities to be carried out at the accommodation.

If no residents'/owners' association exists, the owner must make a declaration on their own responsibility, acknowledging Article 326 of the Criminal Code on false statements, confirming that no association exists.

5

Copy of title deed

Provide a legal or official document clearly establishing ownership of the tourist accommodation and its exact address.

6

Building permit

A building permit or equivalent document issued by the competent authority for buildings not explicitly requiring a permit, as applicable;

7

Land registry extract

The land registry extract must confirm registration of the buildings for which classification is requested.

8

Submitting documents

Place all documents required for the classification certificate in an envelope and post them to: Calea Victoriei nr. 152, sector 1, București. Mark the envelope "În atenția Direcția Autorizare și Monitorizare - Turism - Ministerul Economiei, Antreprenoriatului și Turismului"

Within 30 days of submitting complete documentation, a Provisional Operating Authorisation is issued for the requested unit type and classification category, allowing temporary operation until the on-site inspection.
